AuCu and AgCu bimetallic nanoparticles supported on guanidine-modified reduced graphene oxide nanosheets as catalysts in the reduction of nitroarenes: tandem synthesis of benzo[b][1,4]diazepine derivatives

Abstract

AuCu and AgCu bimetallic nanoparticles supported on guanidine-grafted reduced graphene oxide nanosheets (AuCu@G-rGO and AgCu@G-rGO) were synthesized and characterized by FAAS, X-ray diffraction (XRD), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET) analysis. The synthesized catalysts have been investigated in the reduction of nitroarenes and the tandem synthesis of tetrahydro-1H-benzo[b][1,4]diazepine-2-carboxamide and 1H-tetrazolyl-benzo[b][1,4]diazepine derivatives.
