Improved model for diffusion-limited current in organic metal-insulator-metal diodes

Abstract

The analytic JV formula for organic diodes recently derived by Bruyn et al. is improved by considering the electric field dependence of mobility. The improved formula is applied to four devices. The results calculated from the original formula cannot arrive at a good agreement with the experimental data. The results calculated from the improved analytic formula are in good agreement with the complete numerical solutions, and both agree with the experimental data very well.
