Solid-phase assembly of glycosaminoglycan oligosaccharide precursors

Abstract

The high yielding solid-phase stereoselective assembly of monosaccharide building blocks into advanced oligosaccharide precursors up to the size of an octasaccharide for two important classes of glycosaminoglycans, namely dermatan sulfate and heparan sulfate, is reported.
