Insights into the low surface area of conjugated microporous polymers and methodological suggestion for the enhancement of porosity†
Abstract
This work shows that the porosity of conjugated microporous polymers (CMPs) can be controlled by screening the ligands of palladium catalysts in the Sonogashira coupling of alkyne and halide building blocks. In particular, a palladium catalyst with P(o-tolyl)3 dramatically enhanced the surface area of the CMPs, compared with a conventional catalyst with PPh3.
