Abstract

A new Ir(II) complex [{Ir(μ-κC_NHC,η⁶_Dipp-IDipp)(H)}₂][BF₄]₂ has been prepared and fully characterised. This complex acts as a catalyst for the hydroalkynylation of imines according to an unprecedented diiridium-mediated mechanism.
