Graphene oxide (GO) with an abnormal structure was isolated in an alcoholic solvent. An abnormally low C–O/C–C ratio and large red-shift of the C[double bond, length as m-dash]O vibration indicated that the GO was a reduction intermediate of graphene oxide, which could be reduced more easily under mild conditions, even without reducing chemicals.
