The regular [r, s]-Coronenes and the ‘Annulene-Within-an-Annulene’ rule
Abstract
Regular [r,s]-Coronenes comprise a regular polygon of r sides each shared with a regular [s]-gon, resulting in an r(s − 3) outer-ring joined to an r-membered central-ring by ‘spokes’ bonds. Topological ring-currents indicate that the one [r,s]-Coronene with ‘decoupled’ inner and outer rings obeys the ‘Annulene-Within-an-Annulene’ rule, but the others do not.
