Highly sensitive colourimetric anion chemosensors fabricated by functional surface modification of natural cellulose substance†
Abstract
Immobilization of naphthylamine or alizarin complexone on ultrathin titania gel film pre-coated cellulose nanofibres from a natural cellulose substance (e.g. commercial filter paper) yields a colourimetric NO2− or F− chemosensor with high sensitivity and selectivity for the naked-eye detection of the corresponding analytes in aqueous media.
