Cold crystallisation behaviour of water molecules in ionic liquids as a screening method to evaluate biocompatibility of the hydrated ionic liquids

Abstract

Hydrated ionic liquids, exhibiting cold crystallisation behaviour of water molecules in a certain range of water contents, successfully dissolved cytochrome c maintaining the original spin state of heme.
