One-pot synthesis of Li2FePO4F nanoparticlesvia a supercritical fluid process and characterization for application in lithium-ion batteries

Abstract

For the first time, we are reporting the one-pot synthesis of Li2FePO4F nanoparticles; the synthesis is carried out via a supercritical fluid process at 400 °C for 10–30 min. The as-synthesized nanoparticles show 5–10 nm and 80–150 nm sizes depending on the reaction time. The carbon coated Li2FePO4F nanoparticles show a discharge capacity of 100 and 148 mA h g−1 at room and elevated temperature (50 °C), respectively.
