Synthesis of a forest of double/triple walled CNTs of uniform diameters by plasma enhanced CVD using monodisperse iron oxide nanoparticles

Abstract

We synthesise diameter controlled vertically aligned CNTs by the plasma enhanced chemical vapour deposition (PECVD) method using premade iron oxide nanoparticles of uniform diameters. CNTs of 10 μm length are grown after a 10 minute PECVD operation. More than 95% of the CNTs are either double or triple walled.
