Sensitization of nickel oxide: improved carrier lifetime and charge collection by tuning nanoscale crystallinity

Abstract

A new record conversion efficiency of 0.61% that stands for a 50% increase in current dye-sensitized NiO photocathode in iodide–triiodide electrolyte was achieved by simply tuning the nanoscale crystallinity of NiO.
