Self-assembly of silver(i) metallomacrocycles using unsupported 1,4-substituted-1,2,3-triazole “click” ligands

Author affiliations

Abstract

Readily synthesised mono- and di- 1,4-substituted-1,2,3-triazole “click” ligands are shown to self-assemble into discrete metallocyclic architectures with Ag(I) ions. The silver metallomacrocycles are stable in solution and the solid state and have been fully characterised by elemental analysis, HR-ESMS, IR, 1H and 13C NMR and in three cases the structures were confirmed by X-ray crystallography.
