Unexpected chemoselectivity in the Schiff condensation of amines with η2(C,O)- η1(O)-coordinated aldehyde

Abstract

The aldehyde function coordinated as η1; η2 is able to discriminate between aliphatic and aromatic amines in the Schiff condensation reaction.
