Isotope labelling study of COoxidation-assisted epoxidation of propene. Implications for oxygenactivation on Aucatalysts

Abstract

18O isotope labelling studies of the CO oxidation-assisted epoxidation of propene, catalyzed by a mixture of Au/TiO2 and TS-1, using a methanol–H2O solvent showed the O in the epoxide was exclusively from O2 and not H2O or methanol.
