New solid forms of artemisinin obtained through cocrystallisation

Abstract

New solid forms of the important antimalarial artemisinin have been constructed by cocrystallisation; the difficulty of identifying successful cocrystals formers for artemisinin has been overcome through a mechanochemical screening procedure and the results are compared to predictions based on molecular descriptors obtained from the Cambridge Structural Database (CSD).
