Amphiphilic conjugated thiophenes for self-assembling antenna systems in water

Abstract

Newly developed conjugated terthiophenesurfactants are able to aggregate in water and to act as a host for hydrophobic chromophores, creating a multiple donor–acceptor energy transfer (ET) system by self-assembly.
