Abstract

The η¹-borazine complexes trans-[(Cy₃P)₂M(Br)(Br₂B₃N₃H₃)] (Cy = cyclohexyl) were prepared by oxidative additon of a B–Br bond of (BrBNH)₃ to [M(PCy₃)₂] (M = Pd, Pt). Furthermore the platinum compound was converted into the T-shaped cationic complex trans-[(Cy₃P)₂Pt(Br₂B₃N₃H₃)][BAr^f₄] [Ar^f = 3,5-(CF₃)₂C₆H₃] by addition of Na[BAr^f₄].
