Group 13 organoderivatives supported on a metallic oxide model

Abstract

The [{TiCp*(μ-O)}33–CH)] (1) metalloligand, (Cp* = η5-C5Me5), coordinates in a 1 : 1 ratio to [AlMe3] or 9-BBN to give [{Me3Al}{(μ3-O)(μ-O)2(TiCp*)33-CH)}] (2) or [{(C8H14)B}(μ-H){(μ3-O)(μ-O)2(TiCp*)33-CH)}] (4), respectively, partial hydrolysis of 2 leads to the new hydroxo-aluminium derivative [{MeAl}{(μ-OH)(μ3-O)}2{(μ-O)2(TiCp*)33-CH)}2] (3).
