The aryl–phen and phen–phen embraces—new supramolecular motifs

Abstract

The structure of the complex [Cu(2)2][PF6] (2 = 2-(4-methoxyphenyl)-1,10-phenanthroline is reported and a series of common face-to-face π-stacking motifs in [Cu(phen)2]+ (phen = 1,10-phenanthroline or substituted derivative) identified through database mining.
