Abstract

The coordination polymer of copper(I) iodide Cu₄I₄(DABCO)₂ (DABCO = 1,4-diazabicyclo-[2.2.2]octane) was prepared by solvothermal methods, and its structure was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The structure contains a novel 6⁵4 topology and displays interesting self-penetration.
