Heterocyclic chemistry
Abstract
The year 2005 was very busy and productive for the heterocyclic community. Particular highlights include a new and facile procedure for the synthesis of N-sulfonyloxaziridines, the first catalytic asymmetric photolysis reaction, which yields pyrrolizidines in up to 70% ee, a new regioselective diamination of terminal dienes, which yields cyclic ureas in excellent yields, and the first catalytic asymmetric hetero-Diels–Alder reaction of nitroso compounds with acyclic dienes.
