Coating multi-walled carbon nanotubes with zinc sulfide

Abstract

Noncovalently functionalized MWNTs with SDS were coated with ZnS layers by a simple in-situ synthetic method without causing a significant modification of energy states of the MWNTs. The coating layer was composed of ZnS nanoparticles with size of less than 4 nm.
