Facile alkane functionalization in copper-[2.1.1]-(2,6)-pyridinophane-PhINTs systems

Abstract

Mild catalytic dehydrogenation of cycloalkanes (cyclo-C5H10, cyclo-C6H12, cyclo-C8H16) and aziridination of resulting olefins is reported with PhINTs and copper-[2.1.1]-(2,6)-pyridinophane (L) complexes LCuXn (n = 1, 2; X = Cl, OTf) “activated” with NaBArF4 in dichloromethane solution.
