Ferrocene-containing nucleic acids. Synthesis and electrochemical properties

Abstract

The published data on the synthesis of ferrocene-containing nucleic acid fragments are generalised. The known methods are systematised and their advantages and disadvantages are discussed. The use of nucleoside, nucleotide and oligonucleotide conjugates with ferrocene in the design of systems for electrochemical detection of nucleic acids is considered. The bibliography includes 121 references.
