Fine tuning of the photoinduced energy transfer rate in trinuclear Ru/Os 2,2′:6′,2″-terpyridine complexes through structural modification of the periphery

Abstract

Trinuclear OsRu2 complexes have been prepared and the role of peripheral thienyl units investigated; the presence of the substituent controls energy transfer from ruthenium to osmium.
