Theoretical Jt transients for binary alloys. Different deposition regimes

Abstract

In this paper we develop theoretical expressions for potentiostatic current transients obtained during binary alloy deposition. We focalise our study to two situations where the species are deposited performing different behaviours: (a) one species charge transfer controlled, the other being diffusion controlled; (b) one species charge transfer controlled, the other being charge transfer controlled in the beginning going to a diffusion controlled situation. We analyse the behaviour of the theoretical curves especially for short times and we propose a criterion that might help to recognise the regimes of deposition of the species in the alloy.
