Abstract

Unnatural analogues of the anti-Alzheimer drug (–)-galanthamine have been synthesised using K 3 [Fe(CN)] 6 at the key step to construct the novel (±)-6H-benzo[a]cyclohepta[hi]benzofuran ring systemviaoxidative tandem cyclization.
