The transphosphorylation of β-cyclodextrin perphosphites: a new supramolecular property

Abstract

β-Cyclodextrin perphosphite 1, R = 5,5-dimethyl-1,3,2-dioxaphosphorinan-2-yl, exhibits an unusual transphosphorylation reaction with chlorophosphites; the inclusion of adamantane into the cyclodextrin cavity substantially inhibits this reaction.
