A Cu(I) coordination polymer employing a nonsteroidal aromatase inhibitorletrozole as a building block

Abstract

The reaction of [Cu(I)(MeCN)4](BF4) with letrozole (1-[bis(4-cyanophenyl)methyl]-1,2,4-triazole, LTZ) affords a quite unusual 3-D coordination polymer in which for the first time LTZ demonstrates its coordinating ability as a tetradentate ligand.
