New routes to 5-substituted oxazoles

Abstract

Ultrasound-promoted desulfonylation of 5-substituted 4-tosyloxazoles, prepared from tosylmethyl isocyanide and carboxylic acid chlorides or by dianion chemistry, leads to 5-monosubstituted oxazoles.
