Superior ion-exchanged ZSM-5 catalysts for selective catalytic oxidation of ammonia to nitrogen

Abstract

Fe-ZSM-5 showed the best catalytic performance (nearly 100% N2 yield) and resistance to water vapor for selective catalytic oxidation of NH3 to N2 at a high gas hourly space velocity (2.3 × 105 h−1) among transition-metal (Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni and Cu) ion-exchanged ZSM-5 catalysts.
