Abstract

Oxidative addition of allylic substrates to coordinatively unsaturated ruthenium(II), (η5-C5Me5)Ru(amidinate) complexes, afford cationic ruthenium(IV) compounds, [(η5-C5Me5)Ru(amidinate)(η3 -allyl)]+, which have been characterized by spectroscopic analysis and X-ray structure determination.
