The first mixed-valence MnII,III gallium phosphate: synthesis and structural characterization of (C4H12N2)2Mn2Ga5(H2O)(PO4)8

Abstract

The synthesis and characterization of a novel mixed-valence MnGaPO phase is described; the 3D open-framework consists of discrete bioctahedra of Ga2O10(H2O) and GaO5 trigonal bipyramids, connected via MnIIIO4, MnIIO4 and PO4 tetrahedra to generate intersecting tunnels within which piperazinium cations reside.
