Selective oxidation of cyclohexane to cyclohexanol catalyzed by a µ-hydroxo diiron(II) complex and tert-butylhydroperoxide

Abstract

A new µ-hydroxo diiron(II) complex [Fe2L(0H)]3+ obtained with a dinucleating macrocyclic ligand catalyzes the selective oxidation of cyclohexane into cyclohexanol (≃85%) using the controlled addition of tert-butylhydro-peroxide.
