New insights into the origin of NO2 in the mechanism of the selective catalytic reduction of NO by propene over alumina
Abstract
The formation of NO2 as a reaction intermediate in the selective catalytic reduction of NO by C3H6 in the presence of a large excess of O2 over alumina is shown not to occur through the direct oxidation of NO by O2.
