Structure of the nogalamycin–d(ATGCAT)2 complex in solution: DNA recognition at an isolated TpG site

Abstract

The solution structure of the 1∶1 nogalamycin–d(ATGCAT)2 complex, determined from high resolution NMR data and refined using restrained molecular dynamics, reveals details of the interaction and preferred orientation of the antibiotic at its high affinity 5′-TpG intercalation site.
