An unusual reaction of hexafluoroacetone with methylenediphosphines. Facile synthesis of carbodiphosphoranes

Abstract

The oxidation of bis[bis(dialkylamino)phosphinyl]methanes with hexafluoroacetone does not lead to the dioxaphospholane heterocycles, but yields quantitativelyexpected carbodiphosphoranes.
