NMR Spectroscopic Correlations for a Series of Triangularµ-Oxoruthenium Acetate Clusters containing SubstitutedPyridine Ligands†

Abstract

The 1 H and 13 C NMR chemicalshifts of the acetate and pyridine ligands α-position) in aseries of[Ru 3 O(CH 3 CO 2 ) 6 L 3 ] + clusters are linearly correlated with thepK a (L), but exhibit variable trends at thevarious positions as a consequence of the inductive, paramagneticanisotropy and ring current effectsand the ligand interactionsthrough the Ru 3 O core.
