The first co-ordination complex of a bis(triazacyclododecane) ligand; structure of a binuclear nickel complex

Abstract

The crystal structure of [Ni2L(O2CCH3)2(H2O)2][ClO4]2 has been determined and the observed metal-centred chirality analysed; L is a binucleating ligand based on 1,5,9-triazacyclododecane for which a convenient, high yielding synthesis is also presented.
