Crystal structures of [(Me2AsO2)2{Me2AsO(OH) }{WO(O2)}2O]·H2O and [NMe4][(Ph2PO2)2{WO2 (O2)}2{WO(O2)(OH)(OH 2)}]·EtOH· H2O·0.5MeOH

Abstract

The crystal structures of the complexes [(Me 2 AsO 2 ) 2 {Me 2 AsO(OH) }{WO(O 2 )} 2 O]·H 2 O 1 and [NMe 4 ][(Ph 2 PO 2 ) 2 {WO 2 (O 2 )} 2 {WO(O 2 )(OH)(OH 2 )}]·EtOH·H 2 O·0.5MeOH 2 have been determined and their Raman and infrared spectra recorded. In the binuclear complex 1 two distorted pentagonal-bipyramidal WO 7 units are bridged via two tetrahedral Me 2 AsO 2 ligands, a µ-oxo and the oxygen atom of a protonated Me 2 AsO(OH) ligand. The trinuclear complex 2 has two {WO(O 2 ) 2 } units and one {WO(O 2 )(OH)(H 2 O)} unit linked via a µ 3 -oxo, two µ-oxo and two diphenylphosphinate ligands. In both complexes the peroxide ligands are side bonded in a symmetric η 2 fashion.
