Abstract

The new complexes [Mo(η 5 -C 5 H 5 )(OH)(PMe 3 ) 2 ] and [Mo(η 5 -C 5 H 5 )(OH)(PMe 3 ) 3 ] + are unique examples of electronically unsaturated organometallics of Mo II and Mo III containing terminal hydroxide ligands; they show no tendency to dimerize with formation of hydroxo-bridges.
