[Li(NH3)4]3P11·5NH3: preparation and crystal structure of a zintl compound ammoniate with a very high ammonia content

Abstract

The ammoniate [Li(NH3)4]3P11·5NH3, prepared from Cs3P11 and an exchange resin loaded with Li+ in liquid ammonia, forms a three-dimensional network of lithium tetraamine complexes and fee ammonia molecules of crystallisation linked by N–H⋯N hydrogen bonds, with undecaphosphatrishomocubane anions P113– sitting in large cavities.
