3-(Trimethylsilyl)oxetan-2-ones via enantioselective [2 + 2] cycloaddition of (trimethylsilyl)ketene to aldehydes catalysed by methylaluminiomidazolines

Abstract

Enantioselective [2 + 2] cycloaddition of (trimethylsilyl)ketene to aldehydes catalysed by methylalumino-imidazolines gives 3-(trimethylsilyl)oxetan-2-ones with up to 83% ee.
