Novel vanadium and titanium phosphorus ylide complexes

Abstract

The reactions of [{(Me₃Si)₂N}₂MCl(thf)](M = V 1a, Ti 2a) and of [{(C₆H₁₁)₂N}₂M(µ-Cl)₂LiL₂](M = V 1b, Ti 2b; L = thf, tmeda) with CH₂PPh₃ proceeded in toluene and at room temperature to form the corresponding zwitterionic complexes [(R₂N)₂MCl(CH₂PPh₃)](M = V 3a,b, Ti 4a ), while the analogous reaction of 2b gave the diamagnetic [{(C₆H₁₁)₂N}₂TiCl(CHPPh₃)]4b.
