A structural rearrangement on the oxidation of 1,2-bis(ruthenocenyl) ethylene derivatives leads to unprecedented (µ-η66-pentafulvadiene) diruthenium complexes

Abstract

Unprecedentedly stable (µ-η66-pentafulvadiene) diruthenium complexes are obtained upon 2e-oxidation of 1,2-bis(ruthenocenyl)ethylenes, prepared from the reaction of ruthenocenylaldehydes with low-valent titanium.
