Flow injection with diaphragm pump and amperometric detector
Abstract
A diaphragm pump equipped with a piezoelectric vibrator (bimorph oscillator) as a diaphragm is examined for the carrier delivery system of flow injection (FI) with an amperometric detector. The diaphragm pump can control the stable flow of carrier solutions without a pulse suppresser device for the amperometric detection. The relative standard deviation of the peak current of a standard substance [hexacyanoferrate(II)] injected into the FI system is less than 1%. The FI system proposed can be applied to the determination of ascorbic acid in commercial drinks.
