Type III isotherms for the adsorption of ethanol–water mixtures on solid adsorbents

Abstract

An interpretation for the type III adsorption excess isotherms of the Schay–Nagy classification has been given. The influence of the energetic heterogeneity of the adsorbents, the bulk properties and the non-ideality of the adsorbed phase was investigated for the adsorption of ethanol–water mixtures on different zeolites.
