Faraday communications. Carbon–halogen second-order quadrupolar and indirect spin–spin coupling effects in high-resolution solid-state 13C NMR spectra of halobenzenes

Abstract

High-resolution solid-state 13C NMR spectra of halobenzenes containing C—X bonds (X = CI, Br, I) are reported and the effects of the second-order quadrupolar interaction and indirect spin–spin coupling between 13C and the quadrupolar halogen nuclei 35/37Cl, 79/81Br and 127I are discussed.
