The melding of dithiocarbamate and alkyne moieties at molybdenum centres; new ligands and heterometallacyclic complexes

Abstract

The reactions of [Mo2(µ-S2)2(S2CNEt2)4](BF4)2 and MoO(S2)(S2CNR2)2 with dimethyl acetylenedicarboxylate result in the formation of orange and green heterometallacyclic complexes containing the novel organosulfur 2-sulfanylethylthiomethylidene (N,N-dialkyl) ammoniumato-C,S,S′ and 2,3-µ-1,3-disulfanylprop-2-enylidene (N,N-dialkyl)-ammoniumato-S,S′ ligands.
